Community Space

The Urbana-Champaign Friends Meeting makes its facilities available to groups or individuals who are pursuing goals consistent with the values and testimonies of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

To reserve space, please see this form.

Our building consists of two main sections, which may be reserved separately.  The meeting room is the large square room (30ft x 30ft) in which we hold our meetings for worship.  It is furnished with chairs and could accommodate up to 100 people.

The commons area is a rectangular room, equipped with sliding partitions which allow it to be divided into three smaller rooms.  One of these three rooms is furnished for children, with a small table and chairs; the other two rooms are furnished with five adult-sized tables with chairs, and an upright piano.

Adjacent to the commons area is a small, commercial-grade kitchen.  (Commercial food preparation requires a license; special arrangements may be necessary for use of the kitchen.)

As a non-profit religious organization, we do not charge rent for the use of our facilities; however we do suggest donations in specific amounts, proportional to the amount of space being used, and the length of time for which it is reserved.

The U-C Friends Meetinghouse may be used by individuals or groups who are pursuing goals consistent with the values and testimonies of Friends. Please make reservations for use at least one month in advance.
